Haying underway in local fields

Haying is full speed ahead, gardens are ahead of schedule, the crows are flocking…just saying…

GADSBY/WESTWOODS NEWS -- Haying is full speed ahead, gardens are ahead of schedule, the crows are flocking…just saying…

Belated birthday greeting to Maxine Hansel who turned 80 recently, and to Gordie Reynolds and Bernard Garland. Also birthday greetings to Gloria Deigel, who was camping with her girls at the time. Gloria, along with daughter Richelle and family (except Greg and Alex who were haying), daughters in law Deanne and girls, Ybiett and family (who left early) all headed to Gull Lake for eight days of camping and fun in the sun. Joining them were Corina Derr and her girls, Keyonna and Charlie.

Happy Birthday to Eleanor Dahlgren whose birthday is Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Marylou and Stan Botting, of Cadogan, dropped in for coffee and a short visit with parents Bill and Joyce Hansel on Saturday, on their way to Red Deer. Son Larry Hansel is home, helping with the haying.

Corrie and Gerard Fryters have moved into Paragon Place. Best wishes to our past Gadsbyites.

Get well wishes to Sandra Thompson, who is recovering from a broken leg and surgery.

A gentleman phoned from Nova Scotia looking for any information on his grandmother, a Mrs. Madden, who is presumed buried in the Gadsby Cemetery. If anyone has information on this family please contact me at 403-574-2442.
