Have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving

As we head into October, the calendar brings the Thanksgiving long weekend. Hopefully everyone has a great Thanksgiving break this weekend.

BOTHA BOOSTER -- As we head into October, the calendar brings the Thanksgiving long weekend. Hopefully everyone has a great Thanksgiving break this weekend. Oct. 10 is Thanksgiving day, so if you are traveling at all, drive safely and hope everyone has a great festive season.

Seeing Thanksgiving day is the second Monday of this month, there will be no quilting day until the Oct. 31 (Halloween day) of October. These start at 9:30 a.m at the Senior Centre and they would like to see everyone join them.

Bingo evening takes place again the evening of Oct. 12, starting at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and everyone is welcome to join in.

Starting Oct. 17, there will be card games starting at 1 p.m. and everyone is welcome to join in and have fun. This is just starting out, so make sure you come on out to the Senior Centre. Let’s make this work it sounds like fun.

Don’t forget carpet bowling every Tuesday afternoon starting at 1 p.m., so come out and play a game or two.

Even if its fall and everyone is busy with harvest, please take a break from your busy schedules and join your friends at the Senior Centre every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. for coffee hour. They would love to see everyone join them.

Floor curling happens every Thursday afternoon starting at 12 p.m., so come on out and join the rest of the curlers.

Even though our Christmas Market is still a month away, please start booking your tables now with Christine Wedrick at 403-742- 7503. Get your table while there’s still one available. The Annual Christmas Market here in Botha will be held Nov. 5 at the Botha Hall, starting at 10 a.m. Make sure you call Christine as soon as possible to get your table.

The Old Tyme Dance for this month will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 starting at 1:30 p.m. The Country Gentleman band will be entertaining this time, so come on out and have fun. The dress for this occasion will be Masquerade, or wear something orange and black in color if you wish. These dances are open to all ages so come on out for a great time.
