Halkirk Bull-a-rama committee to meet this week

Twelve senior floor curling teams from Endiang, Big Valley, Botha, Galahad, Castor, Stettler and Halkirk met for their annual bonspiel.

HALKIRK HERALD -- Twelve senior floor curling teams from Endiang, Big Valley, Botha, Galahad, Castor, Stettler and Halkirk gathered at the Centre on Thursday for their annual bonspiel. The curlers were treated to a hearty lunch of beef and turkey casserole, salads and dessert, with a few locals who joined them for lunch. Though everyone takes home a prize the top prize went to the Doug Matier rink out of Galahad.

The Junior high team of Morgyn Jordahl, Devon Johnson, Sydney Dunkle and Kiara Gamroth placed first at the CARA curling tournament in Stettler on Thursday. Way to go girls.

Rafael and his fiance, Jacqline and her family of Calgary visited with Rick and Lisa Kent in the weekend. Rafael is a godfather to Paisley, the daughter of Wyatt and Makayla.

Everyone is enjoying the beautiful, warm and record-breaking weather. Let’s hope this is spring.
