Bingo evening takes place again on Wednesday 25, starting at 7:15 p.m. sharp, doors open at 6:30. Come and join and who knows you could be one of the lucky winners that evening.
Floor Curling is every Thursday at 1 p.m. so come join in the game. In the very near future there will be a Fall Floor Curling Tournament so make sure you come on out and get ready for this.
Voting day took place this past Monday 16, for our choice of councilor for our Botha area, so hopefully everyone was able to make it out to vote. Through our votes, they will be the voice to make changes required to reflect the ratepayers in both the rural and urban settings. So if you have questions of your area, make sure to phone your councilor and he/she will speak on your behalf.
This past week or so some of the older students and staff headed to Circle Square Ranch to cross country run. Then off they went later to Brownfield to participate in playing volleyball. Parents are always welcome to join in any of our field trips and can travel with everyone else on the bus. Volunteers are always needed. So phone the school at 403-742-5187 and find out when the next field trip will be taking place, if you would like to go.
The Terry Fox Run was also a very big success this year again and the donations will be heading to that organization very shortly. The amount raised this year was $3,348, way to go everyone and a big thank you to everyone that donated to this cause. The five big fundraisers that have earned a lunch at Boston Pizza from our school were Ethan, Liam, Karlee, Dominic M. and Tianna, Congratulation you five, enjoy your lunch. In Grade 3/4 class reading is essential and students are required to read at least 15 minutes per night. A prize is awarded for every five times they do this, and a prize is also awarded at the end of each month, so please parents/guardians remember nightly to sign your child agenda and send it back to school the next day with your student.
The next monthly senior meeting will be taking place on November 6, starting at 12 noon. So hopefully all seniors will be able to attend all these important monthly meetings.
