Great badminton results for Erskine athletes

Erskine Enquirer

Mother’s day pancake breakfast at the IOOF hall in Erskine had a good showing of people coming out to help celebrate Mother’s Day. The day was kind of drizzly so it was good to stay indoors and visit.

Erskine school attended the CARA badminton tournament in Stettler last weekend and they were quite successful. Bronze winners were Victoria Hodgson for Grade 7 girls singles and Sean McNeil and Brandon Mills for Grade 8 doubles.

Gold place winners were Allison Marshal Grade 7 singles, Ben Nichols and Kurt George for Grade 8 doubles, Carly Armstrong and Tara Schmidt Grade 9 doubles. Our gold winners will now travel to Sylvan Lake for CWAJHAA finals and compete on behalf of Erskine School and Clearview Public School Division. Congratulations go to all the badminton competitors who played in CARA and for a great showing for Erskine school.

Erskine fall playschool registration is tomorrow night, Thursday, May 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Erskine School. For more information, attend this evening event.
