BOTHA BOOSTER - I just found out some great news for all floor curling members: Throughout the summer months, if there is enough interest, there will be floor curling every Thursday starting at 1 p.m. at the Botha Seniors' Centre. Unfortunately though, there will be no more Floor Curling on Wednesdays until at least until fall sometime. So make sure you come on out every Thursday afternoon and keep this game going for the summer months.

Father's Day is this coming Sunday, June 19, so make sure to do something for your dads and make it special for them. Happy Father's Day to all fathers and grandfathers out there, hope you have one fantastic day.

Coffee hour is every Wednesday at 10 a.m at the seniors' centre and this to continues throughout the summer months. So take time away from your busy schedules and come out and have a relaxing great time with your friends there.

Another activity that takes place every second Wednesday evening throughout the summer is Bingo. These games start at 7:15 p.m. and the doors open at 6:30. So the next Bingo evening is next Wednesday June, 22, so plan to come out for a great time.

The last village meeting will be Thursday, June 23, starting at 7 p.m., so please arrange to be at this very important meeting. This meeting will be the last one until fall. The only day the village office is open is every Thursday afternoon, so please call them at 403-742-5079 before heading down there.

Quilting days are now over until sometime in the fall, so please keep your eyes open for the start up date. They hope everyone has a great summer and hope to see everyone back in the fall.

Sunday, June 26, the Country Gentleman will be at the Botha Hall for the last dance until the last Sunday of September. This one will be the Hawaiian theme, so please wear a leis and /or flowers. The Old-Thyme Dance Club Committee is asking everyone to bring with them either buns/sandwiches, salads or desserts to share at the 5 o'clock luncheon that afternoon. There is no age limit at these dances, so everyone can join in the fun. So make sure you come on out Sunday June, 26 and enjoy a great band and entertainment. These dances start at 1 p.m., for more information call Doug Haustein at 403-742-3994 or John Blonski at 403-574-2197.

So here is hoping all fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers have a fantastic Father's Day.
