This is a program that has students trained in conflict resolution, effective communication and positive leadership skills. These students will have an active role helping students deal with peer conflicts during school. Studies show that when peers help students, aggression at school is reduced up to 50 per cent. Through the peer support program, all students have the opportunity to learn valuable coping skills that will last long after they leave school. Peer support teams will be available to help resolve issues that arise on the playground and in school.

A kindergarten registration meeting is being held on April 12 at 6 p.m. in our new kindergarten room. If your child will be five by December 31, 2010, consider our Christian-based kindergarten program. Pre-kindergarten registration will be held on April 19, also at 6 p.m. for children who will be 4 by December 31, 2010.

With the advent of the Stettler community gardens, we will be starting a gardening club at Christ King School. Students will have the chance to learn about God’s creation through exploring gardening on Wednesdays, after school. Letters have gone home for parent permission. For more information, talk to Mrs. Willms or Ms. Lavalee.
