With the new law about the use of cellphones while driving now in effect in Alberta, let’s practise safety for everyone on our highways.

The first old-time dance of this year is Friday at 7:30 p.m., with Country Gold Band providing the music. Everyone is asked to bring something to share for the luncheon.

Keep an eye open for notice of a centennial wrap-up meeting this month.

Toward the end of September, there will be a BBC meeting. New members and new ideas are wanted.

Bingo evening is Tuesday, so grab your dabbers and come out to the senior centre at 7:15 p.m. The jackpot is growing.

Church services are held every Thursday evening, with Rev. Susan Bowyer officiating. Everyone is invited to the 7 p.m. service.

For Botha Hall bookings, phone Marsha Mailer at 403-742-2559.

To book the Botha ball diamond before the snow starts falling again, phone Ken or Wendy at 403-742-8184.

Elections officials will be knocking on your door Monday, Sept. 19, so be sure your name is on their list.
