Forecast hopeful for holiday

School is out today for all students. Teachers have one more day and then they are done.

Birthdays this week: Shayla Neitz and Sommer Bauman turn 16 on June 29 and June 30, Eric George June 30, Tyler Lalonde June 30 and Barb McKay July 1.

Since summer is now officially here if you don’t want to travel far from home for a vacation there are many points around Buffalo Lake to go see and do. There are many campgrounds around the lake, sandy beaches, launches for boats, there’s a stand that sells ice cream and other yummy treats, there’s mini golf and other fun things. So check out your local area before you head off across the country for a rest and beautiful scenery.

The weather is supposed to be around 20 degrees for July 1 and the rest of the weekend. So it will be comfortable weather not a really hot weekend that most people like, but at least it’s not forecast for rain. Bring that mosquito repellent and maybe a bug hat then you can enjoy the outdoors this weekend.

Have a great July 1 weekend, no better day than Friday to have July 1 land on.
