BYEMOOR/ENDIANG NEWS — Be sure to attend the Byemoor fall roast beef supper on Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Byemoor Community Hall from 4-7 p.m. and enjoy some excellent Alberta beef. Cost for adults is $15, children 6-12 are $8 and younger than six are free.
Byemoor 4-H Beef Club is reorganizing for the upcoming year and will be holding a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. at the arena in Byemoor. New members are most welcome. For further information contact Suzanne Sorensen at 403-741-8747.
We extend sympathy to Rod and Lynnette Schellenberg and family on the passing of Lynnette’s grandmother Katie Donnelly on Sunday, Oct. 9. She was 100 years old. Members of the Schellenberg family travelled to Manitoba for the funeral.
Get well wishes are sent to Vicki Ballinger who is in the Red Deer hospital recuperating from knee replacement surgery and a stroke. We wish you a speedy recovery, Vicki.
Crib at the Endmoor Drop-In Centre on Thursday, Oct. 13 saw Brad Stiles post the top score while second went to Gladys McLeod. Next crib meet will be on Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. with all welcome.
Floor curling has resumed for the fall season in Endiang. Floor curling is held each Monday at 1 p.m. at the Endiang Community Hall and everyone is welcome to join in.
We welcome Ron and Lynne Dupuis from Haynes to the community. They are living on the former farmyard of Lawrence and Mary Wilkie. Lynne is a massage therapist in Stettler.
Anne Blackman was the guest of honour at a combined 65th birthday and retirement party at their acreage on Saturday, Oct. 8. Anne recently retired from her position at the Hanna hospital complex. We hope you enjoy those government cheques Anne and wish you a happy retirement.
The Byemoor School hosted its annual awards presentations at the school gym on Friday afternoon. Many students were recognized for their achievements from last term. Congratulations to all the students and keep up the good work.

Congratulations to Rod and Angela Yates who are marking their 25th wedding anniversary today, Oct. 19. Rod and Angela will be celebrating their special milestone with a trip to Las Vegas in November.

Byemoor Hotel is hosting a Halloween-themed evening of entertainment on Friday, Oct. 28 at the hotel. Mark Fecho and Heather Brown will be supplying the entertainment, set to begin at 8 p.m. Those wishing to come in costume are welcome to do so.
