Floor curlers were in Galahad

HALKIRK HERALD -- Several or our residents attended the volunteer appreciation luncheon held at the Castor Hall on Wednesday. Country singer Hugh Kelly provided the afternoon entertainment. This event was sponsored by FCSS and ATCO.

The school students are now busy playing badminton and will be competing with other Highway 12 East schools.

Congratulations to Cody and Jaymi Rausch on the arrival of their second son, Eli Cody, born April 8 in Stettler and weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. Eli is welcomed by big brother Wade, who is two years old and by Grandma Sue Rausch as well as many other relatives and friends.

The seniors' floor curling team of Adolf Heier, Wendy Ashbacher and Edna Luft enjoyed the curling bonspiel held in Galahad last Tuesday.

Darrell and Wendy Ashbacher recently returned from a two-week visit in Queensland, Australia. They visited with their son, Clint, daughter in law, Lea, and grandson, 6-month-old Levi.

Mrs. Nelda Malloy is visiting with her son Derrick and Heidi Malloy and grandchildren. Mrs Malloy. is here from Montreal and will be here until her granddaughter Jordan's wedding on May 7.
