Family dance was a big hit with kids, parade arrangements stay the same

Erskine parent council hosted their family dance last Friday with families donating to the breakfast club. The Grade 9 class hosted the concession booth and the glow sticks were a hit with the children.

Erskine parent council hosted their family dance last Friday with families donating to the breakfast club. The Grade 9 class hosted the concession booth and the glow sticks were a hit with the children. The children had a fun time dancing and thanks go to everyone who helped make it a fun time.

Stettler Library is bringing Read and Rhyme to Erskine. Parents and tots are invited to join in on the fun every first Monday of each month at the Waverly club rooms from 10 - 12.

This Friday, April 23 is PD day for teachers, so it’s a no school day for students.

April 26 is Early Monday at 1:45pm

Tuesday April 27, is the next hot lunch day. The ever-popular taco salad will be served along with ice cream sandwiches for dessert. So don’t forget to put your orders in.

Erskine School will be experimenting with a reverse lunch hour in May. Students will have lunch recess first and then eat lunch. Reverse lunch hour gives students a more relaxed time to eat and there isn’t the rush to finish to get outside to play.

Erskine Recreation Board held their meeting last week and the topic was ideas for Erskine sports day.

The parade will be held as usual and activities held through out the day. The only switch is putting the supper Barbecue at the IOOF hall instead of at the curling rink.
