BOTHA BOOSTER — With fall upon us now, it means it’s time to get everything set up and ready for winter. So if you are wondering the hours of Botha Transit Station, the hours are as follows: Every Tuesday from 1-5:30 p.m. and then again every Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 noon. Hopefully this works for everyone.
Floor Curling takes place every Thursday afternoon at the Senior Centre, starting at 1 p.m. Everyone can join in and have a fun time trying to get the perfect throw.
Coffee Hour is every Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at the Senior Centre. The coffee brewers are hoping everyone can take a break away from their busy schedules and join them.
Bingo night takes place tonight starting at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., so come on out and try your luck. Everyone is welcome to join in this exciting game. Bingo takes place every second Wednesday evening.
Quilting will be restarting soon, so please keep your eyes open. The quilters usually start right after harvest, but with the weather the way it is and farmers having a hard time getting their harvest off this year – due to all the moisture we have been having – it is different, so please keep your eyes open for this event. Even if you have never quilted before they would love to see you join them and teach you all about this great craft.
The Botha School has changed their logo this year from a bunny logo to a bull logo. The new name for this will be the Botha Bulls, which is quite exciting.
Get ready for Sunday, Sept. 25, when the Old-Tyme Dance Club starts up for another season. They start at 1:30 p.m. at the Botha Hall, so everyone regardless of age can join in the fun. The Old-Tyme Aires Band will start this year off, so you will not want to miss out.
The theme of this dance will be the Harvest/Hard Times one, so you could dress up according to the theme.
The first monthly meeting of the village will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, starting at 7 p.m., so please try and attend the meeting.
