Excitement on the plane

Byemoor Curling Club’s joint men’s and women’s bonspiel runs this week at the Byemoor curling rink.

BYEMOOR/ENDIANG NEWS -- Byemoor Curling Club’s joint men’s and women’s bonspiel runs this week at the Byemoor curling rink and will wrap up on Saturday. Be sure to come out and take in some of the games.

Robert and Sheila Buchwitz are home following an enjoyable break from winter. They spent about three weeks in Mazatlan, Mexico.

Keep in mind the Valentine’s party at the Byemoor Hotel on Friday, Feb. 13 featuring the entertainment of Mark Fecho. Don’t forget to treat your sweetheart.

The Endiang Community Hall is in search of someone to do janitorial duties. Those interested must apply by Feb. 15 by calling Marlene Wallace at 403-579-2409.

The women shone at crib night on Tuesday evening at the Endmoor Drop-in Centre. Top score went to Jean Mappin while Mickey Tucker took second place.

Lynne Nixon and Sheena Mailer got a little more excitement than they probably needed on their Florida trip. On their return flight, the airplane caught fire and had to make an emergency landing.

Glad you girls are safe and sound on Canadian soil again.

Remember Marjorie Sorensen’s 70th birthday celebration is coming up at the Endiang Hall on Feb. 21 from 1 4 p.m.

The curling team of Justin Jones, Jim Krautt, Tyler Stulberg and Allan Norlie participated in the Rumsey bonspiel and came home with prizes, having placed second in the C event.
