Endiang Community Society held its annual general meeting on Jan. 24 at the Endiang Hall.

County of Stettler Protective Services and Stettler RCMP held “Coffee with a Cop” on Jan. 31 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Big Valley Legion Hall. All are welcome to come out for coffee and conversation. There will be other dates and locations to follow.

Byemoor School Grade 6-8 students attended the school dance at the Erskine School on Jan. 18.

There have been a couple more thefts in our district but luckily in both instances, the thieves were caught by the RCMP and charged. Thanks to the police and the watchful eyes in the community.

More local folks have ditched winter and headed to warmer climates for fun and relaxation.

Lorne and Marlene Wallace along with Darren, Shawna, Cameron and Carter Benson and Darren’s parents Don and Kathy Benson enjoyed a fun-filled holiday to Mayan Riviera in Mexico.

Bob and Janet Campbell along with Dave and Lynne Nixon enjoyed their vacation to Cuba where they took in the sights with the sunshine and warmth very easy to like.

Doreen and Becky Nixon and Betty Campbell were in Las Vegas for the Continental Cup of curling — a fun trip for the avid curling fans.

Humour for the day — “There are 100 billion nerves in the human body and there are people with the ability to irritate every one of them.”

“Being married mostly means shouting “what?” from other rooms.”
