Early spring birthdays celebrated in style

Spring is here and like good Alberta weather, a forecast of snow to come.

GADSBY/WESTWOOD NEWS -- Spring is here and like good Alberta weather, a forecast of snow to come.

Congratulations to all 4H members who competed at the regional presentations at Delia this past week. Charlee Derr (Big Knife 4H Beef Club) came in third in the junior category. Now it’s all about the show and sale coming later this spring.

Gloria and Stan Diegel had an early Easter this Sunday with Tasha and Aaron and family, Wade and Ybiett and family, Arden and Deanne and girls, Richelle and Greg and family all home for the day. A traditional Easter egg hunt and 3 p.m. dinner followed.

The Saint Patrick’s Day dine and dance in Gadsby was well attended with over 100 people.

Percy and Paulette Heer have returned from a trip to Medicine Hat. Paulette had medical appointments, but they enjoyed a visit and stay with Percy’s uncle Alvin and Rose Shearer. While there, they took Al and Rose out for Chinese dinner and visited with cousin Kendra as well.

Birthday greetings to Michelle Renschler, who has just returned from a five day trip to Mexico along with her sister Shandele and mom Dale (Heer) Van Straten.

Frank and Eleanor Dahlgren helped great granddaughter Kayla celebrate her eighth birthday along with dad and mom Darcy and Tammy Hronek and brother Luke. The birthday girl got to chose her pick of restaurants, so it was off to KFC. Happy birthday, Kayla!

Frank and Eleanor headed to Glenn Park, near Calmar, north of Leduc on Saturday to attend Eleanor’s cousin Joyce Walker’s 80th birthday. Eleanor was excited to see so many cousins and their families. A very enjoyable day.
