BOTHA BOOSTER -- Calling everyone out to the Botha Senior Centre tonight at 6:30 p.m. for a friendly game of Bingo. Who knows you could be one of the lucky winners, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the balls start rolling at 7:15. So, make sure you get out and enjoy this exciting evening.
Tomorrow one great gentleman from our area is celebrating his exciting day. Mr. Jace Thorsteinson is celebrating his birthday, so hats off to Jace, Happy birthday!
Saturday evening (May 28) the Botha Arena will be a hopping little place with the Grade 12 safe grad night taking place there, that evening.
The BCC Committee would like to thank everyone who attended their Mother's Day Breakfast. A big congratulations go out to all the winners of the door prizes which took place that morning. They hope all mothers out there had a fantastic day.
In about two weeks, it will be an exciting time for all. It's Victoria Day weekend, where all the campsites reopen for the season. Hopefully by than everyone place in this province will get a dump of rain, so we all can enjoy a campfire again, as now there is a provincial major fireban on, where there is no fire anywhere allowed at all. So hopefully by then, all of Alberta will receive a lot of moisture. Our thoughts and prayers at the present go out to the residents of Fort McMurray and area as there is a major wildfires happening due to the climate. So here's to hoping and praying we get a lot of moisture that takes place very soon all across Alberta.
