Our condolences to the Ina Damberger family, Ina passed away on May22, 2011, her service was held on May27, 2011.
Again Donalda had a very busy weekend with the Annual Pancake Breakfast and Garage Sale, hosted by the Donalda and District Museum.
This was a success both the pancake breakfast and garage sale. There were also other garage sales in the village as the residents took advantage of one at the hall.
On Thursday, June 2, 2011 is the “Willy Bronze Golf Tournament” at Pheasantback Golf Course, Registration at 11 AM, Shotgun start at 12 Noon. For more information or to preregister contact: Greg Risler or Aaron Miller, at 403-742-GOLF. Everyone is welcome. The fundraiser is for a “life size” bronze of WILLY World Famous Steer Wrestling Horse, from the Donalda area.
On Saturday June 4, 2011 is the 3rd Annual Ranch Rodeo. There will be rodeo events and kids’ events. The Donalda Lite Riders Drill Team will perform. There will be a New Boot Relay and an Awesome Pie Auction. The Genuine Cowgirls from Big Valley will be our musical guests. Camping is available (showers and power).
On Saturday June 11, 2011, the Donalda and District Museum will present a Historical Evening of Donalda area Native sites. It will be held at the Donalda Community Hall. Guest speakers are Dr. Heinz Pyszczyk and Blair First Rider. There will be a roast beef dinner and a silent auction. The event will start at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the Donalda Museum.
Remember, Donalda will be celebrating July 1st with another spectacular event.
