Donalda community activity schedule gets heavier as spring warms up the air

Another week has past and looks like summer is coming. The community of Donalda is bursting with activities and everyone is busy trying to put them altogether.

Hoping this week end will be a warm one, we have the Drive In Movie happening at the Willow Canyon Ski Chalet on Friday May 13th movie starting at Dusk, the movie showing is The Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Food and Refreshments will be available. Hope to see you out to enjoy the evening.

May 14 is the Boss Hill Poker Rally, registration 10 a.m. at the Skybo School, food and refreshments will be available. For more information you can visit the web site http://albertahorseevents.com or call 403-883-2294, 780-372-43840 or 403-883-2292.

May 14 is also the village clean-up day starting at 10 a.m., we will meet at the Gazebo. There will be a lunch served. Let’s all get out and clean up our village for the coming tourist season.

The second annual Relay for Life Ukrainian Supper is also happening on May 14, 5 – 7 p.m. at the Donalda Community HAll; live and silent auction to follow. Come out and support TEAM PAT (people against tumors). If anyone is interested in donating any items for auction, please call Jodi at 403-883-2330 or Teresa at 403-883-2780. Let’s make it a night.

The annual Donalda & District Museum garage sale will be happening on May 28, starting with a pancake breakfast and doors opening at 8 a.m. If you have any items to donate, they can be dropped off at the museum, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.. Tables will also be available to rent if you wish to sell your own items, you can call 403-883-2100 for further information.

The Donalda & District AG Society will be presenting its third annual ranch rodeo, June 4 starting at 1 p.m.. This will be a fun event for the whole family. There will be rodeo events and events for the kids. “NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED”. For more information call Julie at 403-883-2264. Deadline entry is May 25.
