Doan brothers’ film adventure - Halkirk Herald

Shane and Brook Doan shared an interesting adventure this past summer when they filmed an episode for Mantracker.

Mantracker 5 features Terry Grant, a veteran cowboy and expert outdoorsman who is trained to track missing persons in the bush.

The Doan brothers spent 36 hours and travelled 40 kms in the bush three hours North of Whistler, BC. They aren’t telling whether they were captured or if they escaped, but ”it was an unbelievable experience” and they had a hoot doing it.

Mantracker is broadcast Mondays on OLN and their experience is due to be aired in September or October of this year. We will try to keep you informed of the actual date.

Several people from the area attended farm tech in Edmonton this past week.

Ross and Pat Stewart from Red Deer spent Thursday visiting with Mary Stewart.

Jackie Rogers spent a week visiting with her aunt in Osoyoos, B.C.

The seniors are holding a raffle, contact any senior member for tickets.

There will be a floor curling bonspiel on Feb. 14 at the senior center.

The citrus fruit is supposed to arrive the first week of Feb.
