Disney Day at Erskine School on Feb. 24

Among some of the exciting things happening at the Erskine School, is Disney Day on this Friday, Feb. 24.

ERSKINE ENQUIRER — Sympathy of the community is extended to Gary Greenlee and family on the passing of Sandy. Sandy was very dedicated to the Erskine Knitting Club and an avid knitter. She donated many beautiful items to the Stolleries, Ronald McDonald House, and other institutions and we will miss her very much.

Sympathy of the community is also extended to the McKnight family on the passing of Jean, a long time resident in our area.

The Ladies’ Curling Bonspiel is coming up beginning Monday, Feb. 27. Anyone interested in curling can phone Karen at 403-742-3824 or 403-741-9989.

The Men’s Bonspiel begins on Thursday, March 12 and rinks can be entered by phoning Miles at 403-741-4997.

Coming up at Erskine School on Feb. 24 is Disney Day, March 3 is PD Day and March 9 and 10 is Teacher’s Convention.

The next dance jam put on by the Erskine seniors will be on Sunday, March 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. There is no age restriction for this dance. And don’t forget the Seniors’ Centre is now open every Friday from 10 a.m. for anyone wanting to socialize with coffee and cookies provided at no charge. Everyone’s welcome, there is no age restriction.

The melting snow has caused many streets in Erskine to become very muddy because of all the work that’s being done in putting the water lines. Hopefully this will either dry up or we’ll get snow again.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Family Day weekend.
