The Endmoor Drop-in Centre held their regular crib night on Tuesday evening with the best score being a tie between Betty Nixon and Margaret Sacuta, both with a very impressive two points, and second went to Vi McCarty, not far behind with seven points. Next crib night will be held on Dec. 9.

Endiang authors, Shelly and Dwayne Schellenberg, have written their second children’s book, entitled “Teddy Bear – The Story of a Bucking Bull” and it is just newly off the press. Congratulations, Shelly and Dwayne on the release of your new book.

Les and Rosemary Stulberg, owners of the restaurant in Endiang known as Our Home Kitchen, have announced that the restaurant has been sold to Byron and Linda Wilkie. It is great news that the community will continue to have a restaurant.

Marlene Wallace was the guest of honour at a surprise 50th birthday party held at the Endiang Hall on Saturday evening and attended by several friends, family and neighbours. Congratulations, Marlene on being half a century old, we hope you enjoyed your party.

The complimentary dinner with entertainment is set for Dec. 10 at the Byemoor Hall at noon.

Recent visitors with Lyle and Shannon Knowles have been George Byatt and Archie Byatt and his son of Victoria, B.C. trying their luck at some deer hunting. Incidentally, George is the husband of former Peggy Ackerman.

The ice is in the Byemoor curling rink and the Tough Men’s bonspiel kicked off the curling season on the weekend. In a Tough Men’s bonspiel, there are only two players on each team, requiring lots of endurance, thus the name.
