Hope everyone is not going too crazy trying to get ready for back to school, remember classes and school zones resume Aug. 31.
If you haven’t noticed Botha has all new school zone and speed signs around town. It’s been fairly quiet around Botha this past week except for all the additional wild life that seems to be moving into town.
I suggest keeping an eye on your small animals as there was a young coyote just by my place on Friday evening; as well, there where two foxes Saturday afternoon about half a block from my place, not to mention our black and white friends that are everywhere.
The Botha Senior Centre will be holding their monthly potluck to be followed by their general meeting on Monday Aug. 31 at noon.
As well they will be hosting bingo on Sept. 1. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.. All other activities will resume in September. Mark September 26 on your calender as we will be hosting a “ Raise the Roof” fundraiser to help with the cost of improvements to the arena. The community centre’s meetings resume starting Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Botha hall.
