Church services are starting up again at Botha United Church at 7 p.m. every Thursday evening; running through August and September, with Reverend Susan Bowler officiating.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
We would like to say a big belated, happy 90th birthday to Mr. Frank Storek. Mr. Storek is a former resident of Botha. His son and daughter-in-law (Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Storek) put on a birthday party for Mr. Storek on Aug. 7 at the Botha Seniors’ Centre. Happy birthday, Frank.
Just a reminder, Bingo carries on every second Thursday. The next Bingo is scheduled on Aug. 17 to start at 7:30 at the Seniors’ Centre. Everyone come and have fun.
Also every Wednesday is coffee hour at 10 a.m. Come and join the residents and staff for a relaxing cup of coffee.
A big “Congratulations” goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rutz. The happy couple (Mr. Peter Rutz and Ms. Tamar Forester) were wed in holy matrimony on Saturday, Aug. 7 at the bride’s mother’s home just outside Botha.
Coming up on August 14, Jessica Mailer former resident from Botha will be getting married. The bride’s parents are Byron and Maureen Mailer, who will be joining Jessica in Hardisty for the happy occasion. Congratulations on your big day, Jessica.
