The Rumsey Bantam hardball team is hosting a tournament on June 5, 6 and 7 at the Rumsey Diamonds. They are hoping to have the first game go on Friday night starting at 7 p.m., then the games will start again on Saturday running from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. then again on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to watch some fun ball and take part in the concession, which will support the teams' future endeavors. Our local players that you need to keep Cauy Burns, Braiden Burrows, Brighton Watts, Noel Kiemele, Brett Holowath, Cody Hodge and Karson Hodge. There are a total of 13 kids on the team coming from Drumheller, Munson, Morrin and Rumsey. The teams visiting the tournament are Acme, Olds, Sundre and Crossfield.
The 4-H Beef Show and Sale will be wrapped up by the time this column hits the paper, so I will give you the results of their efforts next week.
Just some info for our history book. When sending in stories they can be sent by "word" to rumseyhistorybook@hotmail.com or to Box 82, Rumsey, AB T0J 2Y0. We would like pictures to be sent at least 300 ppi for better scanning. Keep the stories and pictures coming in. There are many 50th anniversary pictures that are still needed. We are starting to file stories and we need your story submitted so we can get it on file. Deadline is June 30/15 and we will be calling folks encouraging them to get their story in. If you need help writing your story, please contact a committee member."

The second kid says, "I'm in here to get my tonsils out and I'm a little nervous."
The first kid says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up they give you lots of Jell-O and ice cream. It's a breeze."
The second kid then asks, "What are you here for?"
The first kid says, "A circumcision."
"Whoa!" the second kid replies. "Good luck, buddy. I had that done when I was born. Couldn't walk for a year."
