LOUISE BELLAIR/Botha Booster

First of all I would like to wish all mothers out there a Happy Mother’s Day, hope your day turns out great. Mother’s Day is Sunday May 8.

Botha has a couple great Mother Day events happening. First of all Lee Shephard and her crew will be at No Frills Friday May 6, selling carnations bouquets and planted pots for a Mother’s Day M.S. Fundraiser. There will also be a table set up at Wal Mart the same day for selling carnations and potted plants for the same cause. They will be set up by 9:30 a.m., so come out to either place and buy a bouquet or planted pot for your mom and support a great cause.

Then just a reminder of the Mother’s Day breakfast at the Botha Hall Sunday May 8. This runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Come on out for a great breakfast with very reasonable prices.

On Saturday, May 7, don’t forget they will be holding the AbracaDazzle Magic Show. So, get your tickets quickly and come out for a great evening of entertainment. This show starts at 7 p.m. at the Botha Hall. For more information or more details please call Donna at 403-742-1038. This is a fundraiser for new cement in the arena.

Wednesday mornings starting at 10 a.m., come on out to the Botha Seniors’ Centre and join the coffee group for a refreshing hot cup of coffee. Everyone is welcome to stop by and take a break, away from your busy schedule. They would love you to stop by.

On May 10, Tuesday evening, starting at 7:15p.m, come on out with your dobbers and join them for early bird Bingo. These are held at the Botha Seniors’ Centre. Everyone is welcome to come out and have fun, who knows you could be the one that takes the jack pot home.

A happy birthday wish goes out to Joshua Morris on Wednesday 4. He will be turning nine years old. This birthday wish comes from his grandmother Dorothy Ritter and the Botha community, Hope you have a great birthday Joshua.

On Saturday, April 30. the Morris family, parents Matt and Donna and their four children Kaleigh, Brandon, Joshua, and Cody along with the children’s grandmother Dorothy Ritter had an enjoyable learning experience as they traveled to Edmonton to visit the Telus World of Science. They went as a group with the Stettler Scouts. Sounds like a great day spent.

Congratulations go out to Caide and Ashley Rock of Botha, who had a baby boy on April 28. They named him Declan Robert. Welcome to the world, little Declan. The proud grandparents are Stephen and Jamie Rock and also Don and Denise McNeill. Congratulations to all.

Just a reminder about the Old Time Dance on Friday May 13, starting at 8 p.m. The Gaetz Valley Band will be providing the entertainment for the evening.
