Classrooms are fine, now waiting for the new gym

Welcome to another edition of the Christ King Chronicle. We are settling in nicely in our new space, and as Phase 2 of our renovations begin, we look forward to a new entrance, kitchen and meeting space and a refinished gym.

Welcome to another edition of the Christ King Chronicle. We are settling in nicely in our new space, and as Phase 2 of our renovations begin, we look forward to a new entrance, kitchen and meeting space and a refinished gym.

Miss Stang and Miss Delhommeau are busy helping students prepare for our Advent concert which will be held at Christ-King Parish on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

As well, our Christmas tree is filling up with lots of ornaments for the raffle to help support George, our foster child in India. We are continuing with our Advent celebrations on Mondays until Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. Please feel free to join us and also come to our monthly school Mass at Christ-King Parish on Friday, Dec. 11, at 9 a.m.

Our HEaRT (Healthy, Empowered and Resilient Teens) mentor, Loretta Lavallee, has been running a girls’ group that meets at lunch on Mondays. They are currently working on making Christmas cards with special guest, Mrs. Perkins.

Just a reminder that HEaRT will be running some Winter Fun days during the holidays; there will be a free swimming day on Dec. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the pool and a free skating day on Dec. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Until next time, have a great week.
