In Elks happenings, April saw the Elks combining with the Royal Purple Ladies in a dual installation of new officers for the coming year. Conducting the installations were the respective district deputies and the Hanna patrol team, lead by Vern Thurow. Outgoing leaders Brother Lloyd Duncan and Lady Teresa Greig thanked their lodges for this past year’s work and support. Both leaders were very active this past year and ensured that the lodges were well represented in these fine organizations. Incoming leaders are Brother Ernie Goddard for the Elks and Lady Brenda Campbell for the Royal Purple. They are to be commended for stepping up to the plate once again, as both have served well in the past.

The Club Draw was won by Brother Al Berresford, who donated his half of the winnings to the Royal Purple Children’s Fund.

The First Club 200 ticket draw was held, and a thank you must go out to all those who lend their support by purchasing these tickets. Anyone interested in tickets, please contact Elks members. Winners of the first draw were: Bill Morse (Trochu), Dylan Houston, Arlyne Hingst and Cole Lang.
