The centennial anniversary service at the Botha United Church was very well attended this past Sunday, with standing room only and many people travelling from all over Alberta to celebrate this wonderful occasion of the “little church that could”.
The Botha Senior Centre will be holding their monthly potluck followed by their general meeting on Monday Aug. 31 at noon.
As well, they will be hosting bingo on Sept. 1 with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. All other activities will resume in September.
Mark Sept. 26 on your calender as we will be hosting a “ Raise the Roof” fundraiser to help with the cost of improvements to the arena. The community centre’s meetings resume starting Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Botha hall.
Belated happy birthday to Brenda Brinson, who celebrated on Sunday, Aug. 16.
