The Endmoor Floor Curling Club from Endiang sent two teams to the floor curling bonspiel in Botha on April 3.
The teams were: Marj Sorensen, Roxy Gallagher, Luann Buchwitz and Barb Burgemeister as well as Raechel Boertien, Carol Sisley, Rosemary Stulberg and Don Hall.
Congratulations to the latter team on placing second in their pool. All enjoyed the day and the Botha hospitality.
Roxy Gallagher, her daughter Nadine Hein, her niece Krissy Jack and Krissy’s daughter Jesse Jack participated in a 24-hour curling bonspiel in Delburne. The bonspiel started Friday evening and ran straight through for the next 24 hours, with the Gallagher family team curling six games in less than 21 hours.
It Sounds like a pretty exhausting time but definitely a new experience for the gals.
Make sure your calendar is marked for the Byemoor Bull-a-Rama on Friday, April 18 at the arena in Byemoor. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the bull riding action begins at 7 p.m. A family dance will follow.
Be sure to come a bit early and take in the Byemoor Hotel’s supper from 4 – 7 p.m., ahead of the Bull-a-rama.
The Scapa community is hosting a Potluck dinner and Easter party on Saturday, April 19 at the Scapa Hall. The dinner is at 12 noon followed by crafts and Easter Egg Hunt for the children. Everyone is welcome.
There will be a bridal shower for Amy Servonnet, bride-elect of Jonathan Fournier, on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at the Scapa Hall. All are welcome and it’s appreciated if ladies could bring contributions to the lunch.
