Byemoor Santa Day and Christmas Market on Nov. 30 at the Byemoor Community Hall was a great success with several visitors.

The many vendors were busy, as was the community bake sale table and the school students selling their Christmas craft items. Many enjoyed the beef-on-a-bun and soup and biscuit lunch and the visiting that went with it.

Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance much to the delight of the younger set. The kids got to give their Christmas wish list to Santa personally and get a photo with the popular couple.

Chad Sorensen brought his heavy horse team and sleigh and gave the always popular sleigh rides around town throughout the afternoon.

Shawna Johnson of Hanna won the Lottery Tree raffle, and Addison Schofer of Byemoor won the other draw.

Byemoor was a busy hamlet on Saturday, as the arena hosted visiting teams from Drumheller, Delburne and Beiseker for some hockey action.
Byemoor has a new resident. We welcome Dena Swann from Kamloops, B.C. to the hamlet. Dena is living in the former van Zandbergen home. We hope you enjoy your new location, Dena.
