Keep in mind the Byemoor Fall Roast Beef Supper is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Byemoor Community Hall.
Supper is served from 4-7 p.m. Come enjoy the good Alberta beef with all the trimmings and homemade desserts. It’s also a great opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbours.
The countryside is looking pretty colourful these days with the trees turning an array of fall colours and the grass still so green for this time of year. Some years the trees are bare by mid-September, everything is dried up and looking very drab and barren, but it’s a nice contrast this year and amazing what a little moisture will do.
Oct. 5 was World Teacher’s Day. On Friday some members of the Church of Endiang recognized the teaching staff at the Byemoor School, Byemoor Colony School and Castor Colony School by treating them all with Timbits and Gift Certificates from the Byemoor Hotel. Hats off to the Church of Endiang for its kind gesture.
Sympathy is extended to Lorne and Marlene Wallace and family on the passing of Lorne’s sister Bonnie (nee Wallace) Bulmer on Sept. 16 in Pickering, Ont. Bonnie was 68 years old. Our thoughts are with the Wallace and Bulmer families in their sad loss.
Condolences are sent to the family of Darin Trout who passed away on Sept. 20 in Stettler at the age of 54 years. His late parents were David Trout and Virginia (nee Bates) Wynder. Our thoughts are with the Trout and Bates families in their sad loss.
Congratulations to Derek Green and Angela Carneiro who were married on Oct. 5 at The Lake House on Lake Bonavista in Calgary. Derek is the son of Dale and Dee Green and grandson of Eileen Green. We wish the newlyweds all the best for a long and happy married life. Derek and Angela will be residing in Calgary.
Floor Curling is every Monday at 1 p.m. at the Endiang Community Hall; Cards (Smear) is every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Endmoor Drop-In Centre and Cribbage is held every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Endmoor Drop-In Centre. Everyone is most welcome to join in with any or all of the above-mentioned activities.
