Byemoor Curling Club wrapped up its season with the Mixed Bonspiel

Byemoor Curling Club wrapped up its curling season with the Mixed Bonspiel that finished up on March 17th. Winning the A event was the team of Eldon McCrindle, Kary Keith, Nolan Groundwater and Betty Campbell.

Second in the A went to John Schofer, Carolin Schofer, Theresa Christie and Brian Christie.

B event winners were Justin Jones, Kristina Jones, Tom McCrindle and Rylee Jones.

Second place in the B event were Eugene Nixon, Doreen Nixon, Ryder Buchwitz and Twila Buchwitz.

In the C event it was the Randy Schofer team winning over the Brad Mappin team. Sorry don’t have all the individual players on those two teams.

The Byemoor Curling Club had another successful year, thanks to all the volunteers.

Congratulations to Jesse Jack who has signed with the Olds Broncos women’s hockey team this fall. Jesse got noticed while playing for the Endmoor Vipers for many seasons. Good luck in Olds, Jesse.

Top crib players at the Endmoor Drop-In Centre on March 15th were Brad Stiles, first and Doreen Nixon second.

Congratulations to Keifer Grover and Brooklyn Gallagher on the birth of their daughter Laura Lee on March 16th in the Red Deer hospital. Laura weighed five pounds 15 ounces and is a little sister for Sandra.

Congratulations also to the grandmas Shalene Grover and Kerri Gallagher and the great-grandparents Don and Audrey Grover and Ken Gallagher.

Happy 65th birthday wishes are extended to a couple of our newest upcoming seniors, Allan Walker on March 25th and Linda Kobi on March 27th. Hope you both enjoy being on the government payroll.

Keep in mind the Rural Crime Prevention meeting that has been scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 1 p.m. at the Endiang Community Hall. The RCMP will have a representative in attendance. Everyone is welcome.

Don’t forget the Paint Party in Endiang on Wednesday, March 28th at 1 p.m. in the Endiang Community Hall. Instructor is Luann Buchwitz.

No previous experience is necessary and all materials will be supplied to learn acrylic painting on canvas. The class has room for 10-12 painters but a reservation is required.
