Club Reporter
Our club had a monthly meeting on Jan. 25.
We practiced our impromptu speeches and played a game to help us learn the parts of a steer. Our toboggan party/Christmas party on Jan. 9 was cancelled due to bad weather.
District Fun Day was held on Jan. 8 at the Stettler Recreation Center. Due to the bad weather some activity organizers could not make it, so some activities had to be cancelled. We still had lots of fun doing the crafts and going swimming. Thanks to all the sponsors for this event.
Saturday, Jan. 29 was district 4-H ski day at Alliance ski hill. There were lots of 4-H members skiing and we had hot dogs and chili for lunch.
Junior 4-H winter camp is scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 25-27. We have about five juniors from our club planning to attend.
Our club information day is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. at the Byemoor School. Our club public speaking day is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. at the Byemoor School. Supper is provided. Members are to bring a picture of themselves to be collected for advertising for the show and sale. Please write your name, age and years in 4-H on the back of your picture. Speech titles need to be given to Lorna Schilling by Feb. 18. The district public speaking is scheduled for March 12.
Our next club meeting is on information day, Feb. 8.
