There will be no old-time dance on April 24 due to the fact that it is Easter Sunday. Sorry about any inconvenience. Instead, they are wishing everyone a great Easter and a excellent long weekend. The next old-time dance is scheduled for Friday May 13 starting at 8:30 p.m., so come out then and kick your heels up to the music from the Gaetz Valley band.
On Good Friday, April 22, join the Botha United Church congregation for a special Easter Service at 7 p.m., at the Botha United Church.
The Erskine United Church will be there singing their special music. So, please don’t miss this special event. Their regular church services are held every Sunday morning starting at 9 a.m., with Reverend Susan Bowyer officiating.
On Thursday, April 28, come out to the Botha Seniors’ Centre at 9 a.m. when they will be holding their floor curling funspiel, everyone is welcome to come and join them. It will be a great day, and lots of fun.
But before that, on Monday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m., come out for a great game of military whist. This is a great game, and a great way to spend an afternoon. These are held at the seniors’ centre.
Then on Tuesday, April 26, come out for another great time playing Bingo. The Early Bird Bingo games start at 7:15 p.m. every second Tuesday evening at the seniors’ centre. Congratulations to all who won a ham on the last Bingo evening April 12.
The centennial weekend is coming up on August 12-14 and help is needed badly. So if you could help out with this, it would truly be appreciated. They will be holding their next meeting on Thursday, April 14 at 3:30 p.m. at the seniors’ centre. So, if you can join the meeting, do so please. Donations are also being excepted and truly appreciated.

Any free time on Monday April 25? Why not join the Botha Quilting Club at 9:30 a.m. at the seniors’ centre. It’s a great time and a fantastic way to do some quilting.
Don’t forget Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. at the seniors’ centre. The coffee pot is waiting there for everyone’s enjoyment, to have a great refreshing cup of coffee with the coffee group. Everyone is welcome to stop by.
The weather this week has been great. Is spring finally here to stay? The snow is disappearing and green grass has been spotted so that is really good news, it’s about time. Now if the mud would dry up that would be nice. Sunday, April 17 is the start of the Easter season as it’s Palm Sunday this week. So, let’s us all take the time out to remember the reason for the season.
