BIG KNIFE 4-H BEEF CLUB -- My name is Laura Hebbes and I am from the Big Knife 4-H Beef Club and this year's club reporter. Our first meeting was on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Botha Seniors' Center. This year our club has 16 members and one cleaver member. Our cleaver member is Cheyanne Jacobson. Our general leader is Denise Jacobson.
We held elections and our new president is Rylee Jacobson, vice-president is Grace Hebbes, secretary is Junae Vetnor, treasurer is Keyonna Derr. We decided to make all the members of the club historians. Also, our parliamentarian is Austin Jacobson, phone committee is Charlie Derr and lunch committee is Jayna Weatherly.
On Sunday, Nov. 6 our club had the annual weigh day at noon at the Derrs' by Gadsby followed by the club's monthly meeting. Four new members joined the club – Kale and Colby Norman, Haylee Weatherly and Cheyanne Heer.
The club has decided to recycle tires until the end of December to fundraise.
Members are encouraged to share ideas and suggestions for the Christmas party and have been asked to bring them to our next meeting on Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m., when the club meets at the Seniors' Centre in Botha. Members are also responsible to bring small 4-H clothing to the meeting.
