Big birthday party for J.D Johnson

Visiting with Stan and Dorothy and family for two weeks are D’s cousins Marjorie Hannaford and Sue and Pete Turner from Exeter, England. They are here to attend the wedding of Stacey Jackson and Alf Beaudry at Kananaskis on Sept. 12.

On Thursday, they visited with Stan and Mabel Wheller at Killam.

There was an open house at the Paintearth coal mine on Sept. 11 at the Forestburg community center.

On Sunday people attended the grandparents’ day golf tournament in Castor.

Lisa Kent is proud to be an aunty again. Her sister Lana of Mirror had a baby boy on Thursday. He was named Cooper Benjamin.

On Saturday evening, people gathered north of Castor to wish J.D. Johnson a happy 40th birthday. There was a band, bonfire and fireworks. Happy Birthday JD.
