Basketball teams are doing great

Erskine School had some basketball action going on last Wednesday. The girls hosted Byemoor and the boys hosted Donalda. Both Erskine teams were able to win their respective games.

More basketball games for Erskine, this time being held at the Stettler Middle School gym today after school.

Wm E Hay’s junior varsity girls and boys teams were in Lacombe last weekend for a basketball tournament and the girls won silver in the tournament. Erskine girls on the team are Kylie Neitz and Mykayla Sorensen.

Post on your calendar for a PD holiday for students next Jan. 29. This date was changed since the government made a change in diploma exams. High school students writing class exams will be on Jan. 21 and 22. The high school students not writing diploma exams will have the whole week of Jan. 25- 29 off as the school will be moving all desks and supplies from one side of the school to the other side, in preparation for the next stage of remodeling.

Junior high students are now curling during their scheduled PE classes. James Nibourg is coordinating this with the help of Vernica Anderson, Patricia Standage, Toni Squires, Wendy Bignell, and Sheri Morbeck. CARA curling is being run by Wendy Bignell and Karen Armstrong.

Hot lunch on Tuesday, Jan. 26 is graciously being donated to all Erskine school by the parent council. They will provide one Taco meal to each student.

Next parent council is coming up soon on Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Erskine Library.
