Ball meeting next week - Gadsby/Westwoods

I looked up the definition of cabin fever and it said “no known disease” and no known cure. Aha.

Due to the heavy snowfall, icy temperatures, the Gadsby Ball Association postponed its open meeting last week but plans to host it on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Gadsby Bank Building at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and by then, a good chance to get out and about.

Happy-birthday greetings go out to Jasmine Diegel, who celebrated her seventh birthday on Saturday night with a family supper at home.

Along with mom and dad and Wade and Ybiett and sister Kassandra were nana and papa Gloria and Stan Diegel, Aunt Richelle and Uncle Greg and family as well as uncle Arden and Aunt Deanne and girls.

Bill and Joyce Hansel enjoyed their evening out Saturday night to help Jerry and Annabelle Bignell celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at Stettler Community Hall.

They enjoyed the old-time music and live band The Badlanders and were amazed to find the dance floor full.

Congratulations to Scott Blackmore and Christa Sander on their recent engagement.

The wedding will take place July 9 near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
