Gadsby had its first official snow blizzard of the winter with four-foot drifts on roads and in yards.
We are thankful there are no reports of injuries or deaths in the area.
No school buses ran on Monday.
Members of Gadsby Ball Association invite everyone interested to come to its annual general meeting Friday, Jan. 14 at Gadsby Bank Building at 7 p.m. Come out and be informed.
It’s an exciting group with lots of energy and plans for the future.
Also, there is no supper or Bingo at the bank building this month – everyone needs a break.
But plans are underway for February, so keep watch for next month.

We welcome Jacqui Purves-Smith, who started work on Jan. 5.
Best wishes to longtime administrator Lavonne Smith (no relation), who is retiring after 19 years.
Lavonne will be in the office for a few months to help out.
Lavonne and Smitty had a quiet Christmas with Lavonne’s mother Mrs. Hronek, then for a belated New Year’s, had brother Dwayne and family for supper on Jan. 8.
Tom and Angela Bigney motored to Edmonton last weekend (Jan. 1) to enjoy a National Hockey League game between the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames.
Belated birthday greetings to Ruby Bradey, who enjoyed many friends and relatives dropping in to wish Ruby a happy 98th birthday. Ruby is in a Michener Hill extended care home in Red Deer.
Happy eighth birthday to Bridget Skocdopole, who celebrated on Saturday Jan, 8 despite the heavy snowfall.
Stan and Gloria Deigel – Papa and Nana – and Uncle Arden and Aunt Deanne and girls were able to make it through the snow to help Bridget celebrate.
