The badminton team will be heading to Wainwright on April 20, 2010 for a division wide tournament. The badminton team from Mother Teresa School in Halkirk will be visiting us for a tournament in the afternoon on Thursday, April 22 and next week, the team will be attending the CARA tournament on April 28.

I thought I’d like to share with you what we’re learning this week. After interviewing a few kindergarten students, they told me they are working on learning letters, words and reading. Walking by the Grade 1 and 2 classroom let me know that they are working on estimation. Mr. Fox came to teach the grade 3 and 4 class about climate change as part of their unit on taking care of God’s creation, and according to Miss Soldan, the Grade 5 and 6 class is studying an evidence and investigation unit and particularly, on observation skills. Mr. Faught and the grade 7s and 8s are exploring structures and forces in science.

Our school renovations are now complete and so if you would like a tour, please call the school at 403-742-0280 and we can arrange a mutually agreeable time. We would love to see you.
