Birthday greetings to John Ross, who celebrated his 90th birthday with his family at son Jack and Melody's home.

Neal and Lorna Walgenbach have returned home from a two-week holiday on the east coast. With them were Danny John and Joan Grover. They travelled to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. They said they had a great time, people were so friendly, and the countryside beautiful. Highlights of the trip were Avonlee, Peggy's Cove (a favorite), Lunenburg (a whimsical town), Cape Breton and the Fortress of Louisburg (so much history there). The last two days in Halifax, they took in the Titanic museum, which is on tour there this summer. They heard about the annual Christmas Tree sent to Boston each year to say thank you for the city's help and support after the great Halifax explosion in the early 1900s. Another favorite was Hopewell Rocks at the Bay of Fundy — rugged, beautiful countryside.

Bill and Joyce Hansel attended a joint birthday party for Joyce's first cousin Doug and Doris Russell who are here from Sutherlin, Ore. They were up for the Logore family reunion. The reunion and the birthday all took place at Bar Harbour Camp on the long weekend.

This weekend, daughter Sue took Bill and Joyce to Lacombe to watch son Larry Hansel play ball. Then they went on to Red Deer to see their new (two-month-old) grandson Cason Trennery and his sister Willow along with their parents Calvin and Steff.
