Brenda and Ernie Ziegler of Hardisty were recent visitors with Irene Brooker. They wanted to visit Brenda’s mother before they departed on their Mediterranean cruise.

Winnie Paulsen was a truly surprised guest of honour at a surprise 75th birthday party last weekend. Although her birthday isn’t until November, celebrating early allowed for an outdoor celebration to be held on the Walker homestead. Winnie’s family were all able to attend. Best wishes for many more happy birthdays, Winnie.

Ashley Hayden and Mike Oman were married on Saturday at the Hayden farm northwest of Endiang. The farm has been in the Waters-Hayden family for more than 100 years. Ashley is the only daughter of Jack Hayden and Jill Hayden.

Ashley’s father, an MLA and a cabinet minister in the Alberta government, officiated the ceremony. The wedding pictures were taken at the farm and on top of Waters’ Hill, with a backdrop of beautiful fall colours. The reception and wedding dance were held at the Byemoor hall. We wish Ashley and Mike all the best in their future married life. The newlyweds will reside in Calgary.

Local members of the Wasdal family were in Calgary on the weekend for the wedding of Tim Wasdal and Daina Northcott. Tim is the son of Stan and Beatte Wasdal. Best wishes to the newlyweds for a happy married life. They will reside in Calgary.

Those who attended the live professional wrestling at the arena in Byemoor on Friday evening reported a very enjoyable time. The crowd was a bit light due to it being such a busy time now.
