BOTHA BOOSTER -- Come on out tonight and join in a friendly game of Bingo. Who knows, you could be the next big winner. These games start at 7:15 pm. at the seniors’ centre and the doors open at 6:30, so come on out and try out your luck.
Tomorrow evening, make sure you come out to the very important monthly village meeting starting at 7 p.m. This will be the last meeting until fall, so make sure you attend.
This Sunday, starting at 1:30 p.m. make sure you come on out to the Botha Hall for the last Old-Thyme Dance until the last Sunday of September when they start up again.The Country Gentleman Band will be entertaining the group that afternoon, which are a fantastic band, and you will not want to miss out on all this fun.This will be their Hawaiian theme, so please wear a Leis and/or flowers. The committee is asking everyone to either bring with you buns/sandwiches, salads or dessert with you to share at the luncheon that afternoon.So, you will not want to miss out on all the fun.
We are saddened to say we are losing a long time resident in our little committee as she is moving into Paragon Place in Stettler. Jean Jackson has sold her place and now moving there. Jean, you will be sadly missed in our little village, but wish you all the very best of everything in your new place.
This coming Tuesday, June 28, Fran Clark and John Blonski will be celebrating their anniversary, so hope you both a great day and congratulations.
There has been or will be shortly another new reno done at the Botha Hall. Sometime this month, the committee will be laying new cement for a cement pad, so come on down and see this great job. The Botha Hall is a great place to rent for your special occasion with very reasonable rates, so make sure you call Shaun Derr at 403-742-4811 to reserve your spot now and come on down to it and see all the new reno already added to it. They have now added a handicap washroom so everyone can come now, with a different design of a coat hanging place, and it really looks great. So make sure you call Shaun and reserve your spot.
Floor curling is every Thursday afternoon at the seniors’ centre starting at 1 p.m. throughout the summer month, just as long as interest is shown, so keep the numbers up, and keep the fun going. There is no floor curling on Wednesdays now until at least fall, when Wednesday events might start up again, so make sure you come out on Thursdays.
Coffee continues every Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m., so make sure you come on out and join the group.
