After moisture, we want some warmth

Okay, we are getting the moisture, could we turn up the heat a bit, warm spring rain?

GADSBY/WESTWOOD NEWS -- Okay, we are getting the moisture, could we turn up the heat a bit, warm spring rain?

Fred and Velvet Entwisle met Fred's sister Cathy and Joey Prillar in Red Deer "at the movies" for a family time together. Saturday night, granddaughter Cooper had a sleepover with grandpa and grandma (Fred and Velvet).

Bill and Joyce had Joyce's sister Betty Stotz on Sunday for dinner; betty just returning from an extended stay in the States.

On Saturday, Eleanor Dahlgren headed into Stettler to watch great grandson Dallon McAllister play lacrosse. The game was held in the arena, away from the cold weather. Joining them were Dallas, Kally and Elva McAllister all of Innisfail, Alberta as well as Darcy, Tammy, Kayla and Luke Hronek. They enjoyed being together for the game and then out for lunch.

Barb and Vic Carey , on their way home from Edmonton, stopped in Lacombe Saturday to watch grandson Lincoln Carey and his team, The Shocks, play football in the snow against a team from the Parkland County called the Predators. A good game, even though the Shocks didn't win.

On Sunday, Paulette Heer and Barb Carey joined Howard Giles and his son Ian and grandson Cody, all of Calgary, at Ananiah's for dinner. Howard's two uncles as well as his wife Winnie are buried in the Gadsby Cemetery, his uncles having homesteaded south of Gadsby. Howard and his family feel very connected to Gadsby.

We wish Alex and Edna Taggart best wishes as they have retired and moved into Paragon Place recently. Also moving into Paragon this weekend was Florence Taggart (wife of the late Peter Taggart).
