April has seen the beginning of badminton season. On Wednesday, April 22, the badminton teams travelled to Castor for a badminton tournament. Games began at 3 p.m. and most teams wrapped up around 8 p.m. All the teams were made up of partners from grades 6 – 9. The day was a fun and successful day, with two teams making it to the semi-finals.

All badminton teams are looking forward to April 29, as they are competing in the CARA tournament. This will end the badminton season. We wish the best of luck to all teams competing, and that they all have safe travels and a fun day.

On April 24, two CKCS teachers travelled to Kananaskis, for a full weekend retreat. Attending talks about Spiritual Regeneration, Mrs. Bohn and Mrs. Gulak had a great weekend at SPICE. Using the three days to focus on planting the seed of faith in our students, the teachers met with others from around the province to share stories and ideas in the subject area. Through games, group sharing, and personal reflection, they returned to the school with many new insights.
