Feeling the excitement - Kindergarten students Lukas Van Straten and Charlotte Walker experiencing first hand what firefighters wear on the job as firefighter Tim Walker looks on.

Stettler volunteer firefighters Tim Walker and Mike Tomiak visited the kindergarten class at Christ-King School this past week. Students were allowed to try on firefighting gear and were shown what a firefighter would look like if he visited your house in case of an emergency. Tim and Mike brought a “hazard house” to show the kinderkids and they encouraged the kids to help fix problems in the house. Junior fire chiefs received fire hats at the end of their amazing visit.

The grade 1 and 2 class has been studying the season of fall. Miss Stang says the running joke in the classroom is that “Autumn has arrived”. Grade 3 and 4 students have been studying rocks and minerals in Science. Grade 5 and 6 is starting new units in Social Studies and Math. In grades 7 and 8, the boys are learning about how to stay healthy and fit.

Everyone was all smiles on Friday, Oct. 16 as school pictures were taken.

Children from kindergarten to Grade 6 will be learning all about farm safety on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
