A plea to clean up after your dog

Erskine community and area and businesses have generously contributed to the building of a nice new school playground, but this year’s unwanted addition to the playground has been dog feces.

This is a plea out to Erskine residents to not let your dog use the school yard as a “toilet” for lack of better words. Children play there seven days a week, and with spring here, the smell is awful; let alone the fact that clean up is messy and disgusting.

This is a plea from the staff and children who work and play at the school to help keep our community clean.

Erskine United Church spring supper is on April 10 at 5:30 p.m. Call Janet Rowledge for more information. Tickets are available at the post office.

Stettler Public library will be running an after school library program for all Erskine students every Friday from 2:30 until 3:30. There will be no charge and this is a drop-in program. The after-school library program starts on April 8.

The swimming program is in full swing this week. Don’t forget to pack swim suits.

April 11 is ECS registration night for fall of 2011. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. at the school library.

All parents are invited to learn new information on internet safety on April 11 at 6:30 at the school.
