GADSBY/WESTWOODS -- As I write this Monday morning, there is a healthy snowfall in progress. I would prefer April showers, but we could use the moisture.

There will be a Saint Patrick's Day supper and social at the Gadsby Community Hall on Friday, March 18. Doors open at 6 p.m., supper at 7 p,m. and white elephant sale 8:30 with "Luck of the Irish" games. Sounds like a great family night for all.

Bill and Joyce Hansel attended the "Hot Tub" sixth birthday celebrations for great granddaughter Shaya held at the Stettler Swimming Pool on Saturday. Shaya's guests included some of her friends from school as well as family members; grandma Sandy from Gibbons, Alberta; Calvin and Steph and baby Willow of Red Deer as well as Devon from Metiskow. Denee and Jason hosted the day and I'm told great grandma Joyce enjoyed the hot tub. Happy birthday, Shaya!

The 4-H have been busy with their bottle drive, which continues for another week. Please phone Corina or Denise if you have some to pick up. Gracie and Laura Hebbs, Shaya Brower and MacKenzie Hankins went to district public speaking on March 9 at the Stettler Elementary School. Gracie placed third. Rylee Jacobson and Charlee Derr went to district presentations and Rylee placed 3rd. Way to go! On to Mini Show Day, good luck to all..
