Hi, my name is Rachel Yates and I am the new Byemoor 4-H Beef club reporter.

So far this year, we have had one meeting on Oct. 14. There are 13 members as well as three cleaver members. We had an election meeting on Nov.2 followed by the weigh-in of our calves.

Our new executives are as follows: president- Denver McCommish, vice-president – Erika Yates, secretary – Kallie Stewart, historian – Natallie Schilling, treasurer – Shayla Schilling, parliamentarian-Allison Yates, club reporter – Rachel Yates. Our club leader is Tara Schilling and our assistant leaders are Lorna Schilling, Lorisa Schilling, Kourtney Schilling, Bev Stewart, Suzanne Sorensen, and Rodney Yates.

The pens were a little muddy but with everyone’s help, we made it through the day. Our club is doing a battery drive in the spring of 2015. If anyone has batteries they would like to donate to our club, please let us know if you would like them picked up or you could drop them off at Yates Farms.

Once again, at the annual “Santa Day” in Byemoor on Dec. 6, we will be selling Christmas trees at 12, and taking pictures with Santa at 2 p.m. Hope to see you there.
